Welcome to My Short Story Series. It is a chance for you to read my creative writing work. I call this one, Domestic Crisis. Feel free to share what you think in the comments below!

He must miss his wife – her cosmic hands, rough with painful wires stretched all the way up to her neck, a heaviness holding her eyes, the dark bruises on her leg, and a constant sorry smile.Â
‘What was she even sorry for?’ He always wondered.
Not today though.Â
Today, he was sitting on a freshly painted bench in the local park, staring at the wet mud, dry leaves mushed together everywhere, and a grey sky hovering his mind.
He had no thoughts, except one: ‘What should I do next?’Â
That is the worst feeling, not knowing what to do next – walking in circles and waiting for an answer from within. But she always had an answer for him.Â
‘She is now gone, and I am not sure what to do with you. I have never been the type to know it all anyways,’ He stares at the baby in his arms.Â
He almost forgot the baby was there at all. He was too busy thinking what to do next.
Now the baby is looking at him, waiting for an answer, too.Â
He gets up. His shoes are muddy, squelching on wet leaves. He is not careful, even with a baby in his arms. He just wants to go home.Â
But the house is locked away, the fire brigades have covered the area. He has nowhere to go, but more importantly, he doesn’t know what to do next, now that she’s gone.Â
